Step 1.) Read the client order. An example client order may read ” I’ll have 16 ounces of fruit punch, 32 ounces of orange soda, and 64 ounces of ginger ale.

Step 2.) Start with the first item in the client order “16 ounces of fruit punch”. Select 1 pint (16 ounces) from the “cup size” menu.

Step 3.) Next, select “fruit punch” from the “soda types” menu.

Step 4.) Click on the “punch” bottle (the first one). Since you selected 1 pint from the cup size menu and fruit punch from the soda types menu, the bottle will fill 1 pint with fruit punch. Repeat as necessary to fill the rest of the order. Click “send” when you are satisfied. *NOTE – for an order that requires 48 or 64 ounces, you must make proper conversions (i.e. 64 ounces equals 2 quarts).

Explore our earliest scientists and their beliefs about the universe!

We have been studying mythology in reading recently.  Myths were used to explain how things in nature came to be.  However, Greek philosophers all started a new type of thinking. Rather than believing in myths and stories, they began searching for the truth of the world by using their rational thinking. These philosophers weren't always correct, but their ideas lead us to the truth and what we now know today.  Read and explore the information about the influential scientists below in order to solve the riddles at the bottom of this page.  Good luck!

Aristotle was a great thinker and philosopher.  He made MANY contributions, but we are focusing on the universe and astronomy.  Some of his ideas were incorrect, however others were spot on.  Aristotle is known for his wise sayings!   Also, like many others, Aristotle believed that the Earth was the center of the universe.  We know this is incorrect, however, what did he discover that WAS correct? Shiloh's Shack - Class Novel Study

Welcome to Shiloh's Shack! For the past three weeks, Ms. Pascucci's class has been hard at work in our novel study on the story Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. For the study, each student received their own copy of Shiloh and their very own Shiloh folders where they could keep all of their resources throughout the unit. During our novel study, we learned about identifying themes in a text, different points of view, and even about idioms! We enjoyed working with our teams to practice summarizing by creating narrative arcs that detail the major events of Shiloh. We also created a class sequence that breaks down the major events of each chapter and displayed it on the bulletin board outside of our room. This way all of the students at Hollywood could see what we were reading about in Shiloh- check it out! 

We had a great time reading about Shiloh, and some of us can't wait to read the next books in the Shiloh trilogy. Check back in with us to hear what happens Shiloh next!
